Pianist Aleksandr Shaikin and mezzosoprano Anna Nero form a dynamic duo. United by a shared artistic vision and a deep love for opera, they embrace new art forms with an open-minded and exploratory spirit.
The duo specializes in the performance of Kunstlieder, bringing to life the works of composers such as Franz Schubert, Robert Schumann, Gustav Mahler, Richard Strauss, Lili and Nadia Boulanger, Alma Mahler, and Alban Berg. Alongside their deep engagement with the Lied repertoire, their musical focus also extends to operatic repertoire.
Open to collaboration with artists across disciplines, Aleksandr Shaikin and Anna Nero seek to create interdisciplinary projects that expand the boundaries of classical performance.
