L’Atelier 52 Paris — Salon Concert
In homage to Jean Dupas and female composers
Inspired by the 2026 exhibition at the Musée des Beaux-Arts de Bordeaux,
Jean Dupas & Co. — Le grand Art déco
In early 20th-century Paris, music, painting, decorative arts and literature converged in salons and private artistic circles. Art Deco was more than a visual language: it reflected an era fascinated by modernity, women, and the dialogue between different forms of art.
This salon concert brings together works by Cécile Chaminade, Nadia Boulanger, Lili Boulanger and Poldowski, placing the voices of women composers of the 19th and 20th centuries within this intimate artistic context, and opening a dialogue with the Art Deco aesthetic represented by Jean Dupas. He was a friend of the Boulanger sisters. His Dame à la licorne et colombe was dedicated to Nadia Boulanger, while a letter from Dupas to Lili is preserved in the collections of the Bibliothèque nationale de France.
Presented by Swiss mezzo-soprano Anna Chiara Muff and pianist & composer Gabrielle Wang.
